Sprinkled Vanilla Donuts
“life is how you bake it”, and today it’s baking up in sprinkles, chocolate and donut shapes.
These donuts are soo good, I mean NO REFINED sugars and natural colored sprinkles?? Yes, please -those New Year’s resolutions are winning in this recipe!
- 1 1/2 c. oat flour + 1/8 tsp xanthan gum
- 2/3 c. honey
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/3 c. melted butter
- 1 egg
- 1/3 c. milk of your choice
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 c. natural colored sprinkles
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (200 degrees C) and grease donut molds.
Combine flour mixture, salt and baking powder. Place melted butter into a 1 cup measuring cup; add egg, vanilla, honey and milk. Mix this with the flour mixture. Fold in sprinkles. Fill donut molds half full. Do not over fill, otherwise you will have a funny looking donut.
Bake for 10-13 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a light golden brown. Cool donuts on a wire rack. Drizzle with melted chocolate of your choice. Jazz it up with adding some of our LM Baking Cookie Dough Mix and finishing it off with a dash of whipping cream!!
